Designing your kitchen

With the advent of 3D design technology it has become far easier for kitchen designers and architects to effectively communicate ideas with their clients…or has it?

Gone are the paper line sketches and drawings and in its place are sophisticated computer graphics which effectively offer the client a photo realistic presentation, with a true look and feel of the proposed design concept.

Dedicated specialised design software is expensive….very expensive, but is a critical tool in any kitchen suppliers arsenal. The only way to truly capture the client’s ideas and the designer’s suggestions in a holistic approach is with 3D design software. We at New Look Kitchens use state of the art Compusoft design software in all our new kitchen designs.

Experience… there is no substitute for it, and the more time and industry experience one has the better the end result will be.

So what should the end result convey to the client?

A true 3D photorealistic rendering will capture professionally and accurately the kitchen companies proposal to the client with accurate attention to detail with specific reference to:

  • Cupboard position and placement
  • Sizes to scale
  • Heights, depths and widths accurately depicted
  • Worktop type, thickness, colour and finish
  • Door type, profile and colour.
  • Handles
  • Appliances
  • The overall look and feel of the proposed new kitchen.
  • Wall finishes
  • Floor finishes
  • Lighting

One of the bonus features that we at New Look Kitchens also offer in our service is a computer generated electrical and plumbing layout plan. This is invaluable to the building contractor and basically helps eliminate errors and miscommunication. We try to get it right first time and eliminate errors wherever possible before installation.

In a nutshell your 3D graphic presentation should capture your proposed new kitchen in a photorealistic manner. It should be (within the constraints of the computer graphics) a truly accurate picture in style, design and colour….almost a photo of the finished product.

What you see on the presentation, within reason, should be exactly what you get on installation!

No surprises!!
