Post 59 Build it Journey

Blog Post 59

I had the most magic weekend in Johannesburg with awesome mates. I really love that city and I could easily live there again. It’s a happening place and the people are alive. Excellent times.

Today was very busy. I had a later start than normal to escape the traffic (and to help my host tidy up!). I set off at about 08H30 and first up was CT Build It where I met with the very switched on Shaun Gailey. Shaun loved our website and was very excited to see all the quote requests waiting in his inbox. It’s very good that I am making this trip as store’s such as CT Build It were not properly aware that they had quote requests which leads to business and sales and so it is a pleasure to be doing this trip to show them.

Next stop was H & H Build It where I met another man that’s on the ball Tyrone Gray who was very patient as we initially had some issues getting into his listing. After a good meeting I set off for Magalies Build It to collect some papers and then it was onto Ventersdorp Build It which unfortunately had closed down and reverted back to their original store. I had thought to make Ventersdorp my last stop but as the visit was so quick I decided to try and make one last store visit so headed off bravely to Potchefstroom.

I met with Yolandi Van Dyk there but unfortunately missed the owner Herman Steyn who was out for the day. With my day done and with it being after 5 pm I decided to rather head for Parys and stay there the night with the thoughts of visiting the Parys Build It in the morning. This made for an extremely long but rewarding day with 5 Build It’s visited and many hundreds of kilometres driven. After quite a party weekend I was quite proud of myself but my bed was very welcome tonight.
