Post 41 Build it Journey

Blog Post 41

I had a very slow start to the day and had lovely tea this morning with my Aunty Wendy. Then it was a hot breakfast and I took Juno the lively and so funny bull terrier for a quick walk. I had been playing with him all last night and this morning. Such a funny and energetic dog. Absolutely love him!

I headed off to Jeffreys Bay Build It where I met with Tony Ward who was very patient with me as we went through his listing. Jeffreys Bay has grown so much in the past two decades that it was not recognizable to me. I got very lost getting to the store going to three different locations before finding the huge Build It store in its great current location. Getting lost meant I drove all around the town where I remember just a very sleepy small village thirty years ago when I was last here. The growth of the place is phenomenal – unbelievable.

It was again past lunch time when my visit finished and I headed slowly for my next stop Plettenberg Bay where I will stay with my oldest and best mates Doug and Sue Lund for the week end, re-energise my batteries and have a bit of fun. It is the Plett Bubbly Festival this coming week end and I will work in Doug and Sue’s Newstead Lund Family Vineyard Stand for Saturday and Sunday. Something I was privileged to do last year and can’t wait to do again. If you are ever in Plett book a lunch at Newstead and drink some of their fabulous wines and bubbly. With numerous double gold’s won you will not be disappointed. They really are the success story of the burgeoning Plett wine industry and just could not be better people. I am very very lucky to have friends like the Lunds. Life is too good smiley
