Today was a great day! Wonderful in every way. I woke up feeling refreshed, the sun was out, the sky a deep blue and I was back up through the midlands and into the Northern Berg which is my personal favourite place to visit in the whole of this beautiful country of ours. The mountains were magnificent and scenery just out of this world. I was a happy man.
First stop was to OES Build It in the lovely town of Winterton. If you have never been there before you will be greeted as you enter the town by a long line of Plain tree’s that stretch for about a kilometre that frame each side of the road in exquisite beauty. The sunlight flickers through the green leaves and if you are not in a good mood and feeling that all is right with life after driving through this row of tree’s then you just need to turn around and drive through a second time
I met with the nicest man you could ever imagine – Harold Atkinson – the owner of the store. What a lovely man and so patient. I just still cannot believe how so many wonderful people can possibly all work for the same group!
After a great visit and full of the joys and enjoying the drive and scenery immensely I headed for the nearby town of Bergville whilst reminiscing about a girl I used to date who was a farmer’s daughter from the area and studying at PMB University at the time. She was a beaut girl and always wanting to marry a farmer’s daughter my whole life I wondered why I had been so foolish as to let her slip from my grasp – ha ha. Her family still farms up here (I enquired) and what great memories.
I met with store manager Reiner at the Mountain Build It in Bergville and he was not just a great guy but quite a computer guru. He got everything straight away and I had another great visit. The two store visits today were also so awesome because Harold and Reiner were so positive about our site and could see how much www.homeimprovement4u.co.za is helping there store with leads and driving traffic to them. It really makes me happy to see customers happy!
I then headed to my favourite place in the whole world – Royal Natal National Park – where I set up my tent, spread my sleeping bag onto the lush grass under a huge Plain Tree and gazed up at the sky and the flickering sparkling leaves dappled in sunshine and knew how lucky I was to be doing this trip and how great life really is.
