This morning saw me back at the Robertson store where I met with extremely kind and absolute gentleman Henry Uys. Again it was a great visit for stats and Robertson Build It has enjoyed some awesome results with 142 unique visits to their store’s listing and 55 leads. Wow, it’s so great doing this job when you see such positive results.

I then had a very painful and slow drive due to massive roadworks to Montague Build It where I met with Elfred Tamani. More happy results with 110 unique visits and 44 leads in total. After the store visit I decided to stop for a cappuccino in a very enticing looking coffee shop. The cappuccino was lovely but I found out that a trip back the same way was impossible as they were doing blasting along the road. Now being stuck I had to think where I could drive to continue my travels.

I have to give a small plug for Montague which is another absolutely beautiful little town. Perhaps I should have just stayed there and in some ways I regret that I did not do this but the village is seriously plagued by torn up roads and construction at the moment. So I had no option but to head south and back around the Overberg Mountains from an east to west direction.

I decided to stay the night in Greyton which is another stunning village in the Overberg. There was good news as a friend could join me the next day. I had a long drive to do to start the next leg of my trip having had to come around the mountains so after giving it some thought I decided that it was silly to pass up on some much needed company and that I would take the Friday off and do the long drive and store visit on the week end.

We ended up having the most super day off and we visited a couple of wine farms in the Hermanus region and even got to go to my cousin Pete Clarke’s wine farm Le Vierge. What a stunning place and their sav blanc and Rose are just superb. After two tasting size glasses I called it quits as I had to drive but I am so glad that I got to visit his amazing wine farm.
